How Often Should Sales Reps Call on Customers?

It assumes, he says, that outside sales reps should regularly be visiting existing customers. Instead, as distributors allocate their most expensive resources, they should challenge that assumption by asking three questions: What are outside sales reps doing during these visits, where are they going, and how and how often do they want you to contact them?

Prior to forming IRCG, Mike held the position of Executive Vice President at Lex Electronics, an $800 million vertically integrated electronics distributor in Stamford, CT. Mike’s path to management in his early career was through increasing responsibilities in sales and sales management. He also completed a tour of duty as a manufacturer’s representative.
