Distributor Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index (PRI): June 1-5, 2020

After our first non-negative week, the index has again shown a sales decline with sales dropping 1.4% compared to the same week in 2019. We now have two consecutive weeks where sales are hovering around flat after nine weeks of double-digit declines.

Distributor Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index (PRI): May 18-22, 2020

This week’s index shows a sales decline of 11.4% over the same week in 2019. The sample size for the week of May 18-22 is ten firms, which is the same as last week. We now have nine weeks of double-digit average declines. The 11.4% decline represents the smallest decline since mid-March.

This week’s index shows a sales decline over the same week in 2019 of 14.9%. The sample size for the week of May 11-15 is 10 firms, which is the same as last week. We now have eight weeks of double-digit average declines and five consecutive weeks with declines in the mid-teens.

Distributor Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index (PRI): April 27-May 1, 2020

This week’s index shows a sales decline over the same week in 2019 of 18.9%. The sample size for the week of April 27-May 1 is 10 firms, which is the same as last week. Of the 10 companies in the survey, nine saw declines versus last year with a maximum decline of 43%. We now have six weeks of double-digit average declines.

This week’s index shows a sales decline over the same week in 2019 of 14.8%.  The sample size for the week of April 20-24 is 10 firms, which is an increase of one over last week. Incorporating the new participant’s historical data into the index caused some minor changes to previous weeks’ values.

This week’s index shows a sales decline over the same week in 2019 of 6.9%. Although the sales decline is much lower than previous weeks it is likely that this is not a reflection of significantly improving business conditions.
